We have a round house

We used to have a nice little house in Rita Ranch. But we outgrew our 1400 sq ft home with 3 car garage and huge backyard. And the Homeowner's Association (HOA) wouldn't let us build a detached garage on our lot. So it was time to go.

Thanks to Margy, a co-worker of mine who was also searching for houses, we stumbled across this house listed for sale. The sale of our Rita Ranch home and the purchase of this home was quite bumpy, but thankfully it is all over and we now own the round house.

The home is in need of serious repair. It is 15 years old and wasn't maintained well at all. But this allowed us to purchase it at a price we could afford. We could see the potential with this place, and have been starting on our upgrade plans.

To date we have not moved in yet. We are still living at my parent's house, but have been slowly moving items over to the round house. We have decided to rip out the flooring on the lower level, re-do the kitchen, laundry room, and downstairs bath. Without a functional kitchen it makes it kind of hard to live in the house. Estimated move-in date is late July.
